Opening an account is free. Once you've finished your application all that's left is supplying them with your account number each time you submit a lot of gold bullion for refining.

The company's turnaround time for precious metal scrap is considerably faster than that of other companies, as they are able to process high-grade karat gold in 48 hours or less.
Lots with gold filings take approximately 4 days to complete and customers receive automated email updates at each step of the process from receipt all the way through settlement.
The company requires that the pure gold (or combined gold, silver, and platinum) contained in each lot have a minimum value of $10,000. Lots having less than this amount are not accepted by the company.
The minimum value for Platinum group metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium) is $5,000.

Dillon Gage accepts polishing dust, but there is a five-pound minimum requirement. Dillon pays 80% of the bid spot on the final content for bids under 10 pounds and 90% of the bid spot for bids over 10 pounds.
