The names all look cool and scientific. However, why would an investment management company need to list the name of strategies they use on their website?

Also, there are only one to two sentences of details provided for each strategy. Definitely not enough information for an institutional investor that wants to make millions of dollars investment with the company.

Minimum Account Sizes

Many of Goldentree Asset's private funds have a minimum contribution of $1,000,000, but the firm does not disclose such minimums, according to its SEC filings. That said, the accounts of its institutional investors are likely much larger.

Ratings

According to the company site GoldenTree is awarded a few times and that is fine.

However, the business is not accredited by BBB ( Better Business Bureau), which helps customers to find businesses they can trust. Also, there are no customer reviews about the company on BBB website.

The company is not listed on BCA (Business Consumer Alliance) as well. There is also no information on ripoffreport website about the company.

I couldn’t find any positive or negative reviews of earlier customers of the business although I have checked the most reputable platforms.

Isn’t it weird to find no positive or negative review for a company that has $30 billion assets under management?

Final Verdict

Although the business has a big team and a few international office locations, there is still very little information about the company on the web.

There is definitely a shortage of materials explaining how they would help investors to grow their capital from the scratch.

I mean, think about it for a second.

You want to invest millions of dollars as an institutional investor with a business. However, the company website provides very basic information only. Almost none of the processes the company is utilizing is clearly explained.

When it comes to investment, trust is everything and that is built through transparency. I would expect from a company of this size to include a ton of instructional and educational materials on their website.

No Fee Information

Asset management companies exist to make a profit from your investment. They usually charge a fee, also a percentage of your actual return on your investment.

That being said, I haven’t seen any information about the fees on the company website.

How much money would you be charged if you would allow GoldenTree to manage your investment?

All these puzzles need to be clearly solved and explained on the company website if the business is planning to establish trust with the investors.

Do I think GoldenTree Asset Management is a scam?

I don’t think so. However, I am not convinced if the company would consistently grow investors’ capital as it is claimed.
