Paying tips for Instacart orders is not a must, but most delivery people expect tips since they don’t make much money.
If you purchase annual Instacart Express membership it will cost $99 a year. The annual membership includes free 1 and 2- hour grocery delivery (when available) for your order minimum value of $35.
Who does the shopping?

What happens if the shopper cannot find the item on your shopping list?

Will delivered groceries cost me more?
Yes, you will pay a delivery fee as you can expect. Since someone is doing the grocery shopping for you, it would be illogical to think otherwise.
Thanks to the Instacart grocery delivery system you don’t need to visit Wegmans if you want to but still have your products from there.
Also, prices of delivered items will be higher since Instacart shoppers coming to the store to pay for your groceries and deliver them to your home. I know what you are thinking at this moment.
How much more would it make a difference in price?
On the Instacart website, it is mentioned that you can expect to pay a %5 more for ordering your groceries from Wegman using Instacart's infrastructure than if you would visit and purchase yourself.
However, in my research, I have found up to %20 of a price difference is likely to occur during the checkout.
But this shouldn’t be a particular problem for anyone. Driving to the store, wasting gas, waiting in the checkout line can easily worth more than a few dollars that comes with Instacart orders.
Also, Instacart offers a new feature called “Leave at My Door” that you can choose during the checkout.
This can be particularly helpful for the times you are not at home but still wanting your groceries dropped at your home.
