Last Updated on

Welcome to my updated digital toolkit post. There are many things are changing very fast in the SEO industry. Even Google reported improving its algorithm more than 3000 times a year.

With the rollouts of Penguin, Hummingbird, Fred, and many other algorithm updates SEO is getting more and more sophisticated than ever. Google’s Rankbrain getting smarter month by month, and we are moving towards an era dominated with AI and machine learning.

As a result, I have updated this post to show my most up-to-date tools and favorite services.

Digitalocean (High-Quality Webhosting)

Digitalocean is a New York-based cloud hosting service with highly configurable virtual servers. If you have a website targeting to bring in profit you need a serious Webhosting company like Digitalocean.

I certainly don’t recommend using shared hosting if you have long term plans with your website.

I used to use shared hosting for a long time. However, after switching from shared hosting to cloud hosting I instantly noticed the difference in performance. If you have a website not performing well, you may need to dump your hosting provider to start with the Digitalocean.

By the way, this website you are reading its content is hosted with Digital Ocean. I am recommending you since I am highly satisfied with its high performance, and affordable price.

Screaming Frog (Free SEO Spider)

Screaming Frog is a great free SEO spider that crawls websites’ URLs and fetches key elements to audit websites for on-site SEO. If your website is less than 500 pages free license is well enough, however you would need to purchase a license for additional advanced features.

Ubersuggest (Best Free SEO Tool)

Ubersuggest is owned by Neil Patel already for a while. He worked hard to improve Ubersuggest being more than a keyword research tool only.

Today, Ubersuggest has certain premium features that are offered by paid SEO tools only. It can make traffic estimations, backlink analysis, and competitor reports, etc.

However, it has limited abilities and, is still not a good alternative for paid tools like SEMrush or SpyFu.

SEMrush (Best Site Audit Tool)

SEMrush is an all-in-one tool suite designed to improve online visibility and discover marketing insights. Its tools and reports are capable of helping marketers who work in the following services:

  • SEO
  • PPC
  • Keyword Research
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Public Relations
  • Content Marketing
  • Marketing Insights
  • Campaign Management

Yes, it is not cheap for many internet marketers. However, if you have SEMrush you don’t need to buy any other SEO tool. You will have a free 7-day trial if you visit the website through my link.

SpyFu (Premium SEO Audit Tool)

SpyFu offers a broad selection of keyword research and website audit tools in an attractive price range. It is equipped with important features like interactive reporting, deep PPC/CPC and paid advertising metrics. Yes, It can track backlinks and offers ongoing site monitoring and unlimited search results.

SpyFu is a SEMrush alternative and equally high in quality. It is one of the best-recognized names in the SEO game due to a deep feature set, excellent reporting, and high-quality support they provide. While it has some learning curve to use it effectively still not that much to discourage you from using it.

Keysearch (Keyword Research Made Easy)

Keysearch is a premium keyword research tool that is very affordable. If you don’t need advanced SEO features but simply a premium keyword tool, Keysearch is for you. It can be a cheaper keyword research alternative to SEMrush.

Although it is primarily a keyword tool, Keysearch allows you:

  • In-Depth Keyword Research
  • Keyword Difficulty Checker
  • SEO Competition Analysis
  • Rank Tracking
  • Brainstorm Niche Ideas
  • YouTube Competition Research
  • Backlink Checker
  • Webpage Audit Analyzer
  • Competitive Analysis
  • API & White-label Reporting

KWFinder (Find profitable keywords super quick)

KWFinder helps you find long-tail keywords with low SEO difficulty super quick. It is an outstanding keyword research tool that really simplifies the keyword research process in a way that many other tools cannot compere with.

It provides a robust set of data to keep the seasoned SEO satisfied, but still succeeds in intuitively displaying the data inside their user interface to keep it all noob-friendly. It has perhaps the most intuitive user interface on the market of any keyword research tool.

AnswerThePublic (Find Long Tail Questions)

AnswerThePublic is a visual keyword research tool that finds long-tail keyword search queries with low competition. It extracts queries from the search engines Google and presents them in a streamlined keyword cloud.

You just need to enter your seed keyword and the tool will serve you several keywords in the form of questions. Every keyword suggestion is, in fact, a long tail question you can target for your SEO campaigns.

AnswerThePublic categorize the results according to the type of question (what, when, who, where, why, how, can, etc.)

BacklinksIndexer (Index Your Backlinks)

BacklinksIndexer helps you indexing your backlinks to make them even more powerful.

It is no surprise backlinks are still a very big Google ranking factor. However, having backlinks from the pages that have no backlinks is inefficient. You will need to create backlinks to your backlinks to make them easily indexed and increase the page authority.

They have a free trial you can benefit to see if you like it before you purchase any subscription plan.

Fiverr works similar to Upwork that you can find freelancers that have expertise in different subjects. There are so many SEO gigs you can use Fiverr to benefit from. From logo design to website audit you can find dedicated professionals to serve you on Fiverr.

Udimi (Solo Ads Market Platform)

If you want to grow your email list and need to get instant traffic Udimi is what you need. Udimi is a Solo Ad market platform that allows you to get high-performance leads and new clients.

In my opinion, this is the fastest type of traffic ever. Even faster than PPC and display advertising. You simply signup with the platform and you get verified traffic for trusted sellers to get instant leads and sales for your business.
